The Eddy Awards- Annually each November

The Eddy Awards is the most prestigious awards program to recognize leadership in economic development in business, education, and government throughout Los Angeles County. The Most Business-Friendly City award is also presented live to recognize the importance of prioritizing job creation. This cocktail reception, dinner, and awards gala also supports the LAEDC’s mission to advance opportunity and prosperity for all.

Economic Forecast

The LAEDC Annual Economic Forecast has been a lightning rod for progress for the past decade. It’s L.A.’s most iconic forecast event. It’s a highly anticipated and publicly visible event, which offers attendees valuable insights on the economic projections for the regional economy. Each year the Economic Forecast Report is shared and distributed to our audience.

World Trade Center LA’s Select LA Summit provides international and local companies with a comprehensive understanding of the region’s investment ecosystem with actionable insights that can guide key business decisions.

Quarterly economic briefing

LAEDC’s Institute for Applied Economics (IAE) will analyze the latest California unemployment data from the State’s Employment Development Department (EDD) and other economic development topics like key industries and jobs currently impacting LA County.
