28th Annual Eddy Awards Recap

Last week, LAEDC hosted our 28th Annual Eddy Awards to recognize the work of local government, nonprofit, and business leaders during the last year.

More than 600 guests gathered at SoFi Stadium and enjoyed a cocktail reception, where they had the opportunity to view the Vince Lombardi trophy and the LA Rams locker room. The cocktail reception concluded with a performance from the Inglewood High School Marching Band, and the awards ceremony was held right on the 50 Yard Line at SoFi Stadium.

Congratulations to the City of Long Beach for winning the Most Business-Friendly City Award for their commitment to creating a sustainable and equitable economy that offers everyone an opportunity to thrive. We’d also like to congratulate the Most Business- Friendly City Award finalists—the cities of Carson, Glendale, Norwalk, and Torrance.

LAEDC presented additional Eddy Awards to Arnold Schwarzenegger, 38th Governor of California, Ambassador Jane Duke, Consul-General of Australia in Los Angeles, Delta Air Lines, and Community Coalition for fostering equitable economic development in our region.

We would like to thank our emcee Alex Cohen, political anchor at Spectrum News 1, our generous sponsors, and all attendees who made the night’s celebration possible.
