"The Pacific Maritime Association works to promote the health and vitality of West Coast ports, which are critical economic engines for L.A. County and the nation. The Ports of L.A. and Long Beach account for almost 25 percent of California's GDP, sustaining hundreds of thousands of jobs and supporting businesses throughout the supply chain. As a new Executive Board member of the LAEDC, we are excited to collaborate with partners in every sector to help strengthen our ports and fuel the prosperity of the L.A. region as a whole."
