Speakers: Evan Speer, Chief, Renewable Fuels, State of California, DGS Office of Fleet and Asset Management; Evan Rosenberg, Environmental Specialist, RCNG and Low Carb Fuel Credits, LA Metro; Nate Taylor, Project Manager, RNG, Southern California Gas Company;
The Presenters will provide attendees with an understanding of the Renewable Fuels / Waste to Energy market and its benefits. The speakers will provide attendees various perspectives of this market.

 Evan Speer
Serves as the Chief of the California Department of General Services (DGS) Office of Fleet and Asset Management (OFAM). OFAM is the policy and control agency for all 50,000 of the State of California’s fleet assets and is tasked with furthering the Governor’s environmental sustainability initiatives by establishing policy for, and ensuring compliance with, statewide sustainable fleet initiatives such as petroleum fuel consumption reduction and zero emission vehicle adoption.  Prior to stepping into his current role, Evan worked in DGS on special projects such as the state’s renewable diesel purchasing mandate and a multi-agency effort to establish a nationwide aggregated zero-emission vehicle purchasing program. Evan holds a BA in International Relations and an MPA from the University of Southern California.
 Evan Rosenberg
Is a sustainability professional working at LA Metro to advance the transportation agency’s nation-leading sustainability agenda in the areas of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and other greenhouse gas reduction initiatives. Evan is leading the agency to become one of the nation’s largest fleets utilizing 100% renewable natural gas while also serving as Metro’s in-house environmental commodities trader. Evan was recently recognized by the Association of Energy Engineers as the 2016 Young Energy Professional of the Year.
 Nate Taylor
Is a Project Manager at SoCalGas where he is focused on new business development in the areas of Natural Gas Vehicles (NGVs), biogas, and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG). In Nate’s former role at San Diego Gas & Electric he specialized in Energy Efficiency (EE) and Demand Response (DR) for the Emerging Technologies Program, managing the analysis of new and underutilized technologies through assessments, market behavior studies, scaled field placements, technology development support, and business incubation. Previously Nate worked as a Distribution Operations Engineer designing and managing the construction of utility infrastructure. Nate has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego.
