What the program provides

The program will help participating companies understand and navigate key considerations involved in entering the Los Angeles market, including permitting and business establishment; regulatory requirements and compliance; workforce development, recruitment and personnel; financing, investment and access to capital; location strategy, facilities and commercial real estate; connections to research institutions, industry partners and service providers; and introductions to the wider Los Angeles life sciences ecosystem.

The three-day program will include tailored consultations, briefings from LAEDC/WTCLA and trusted local experts, visits to relevant life sciences hubs and potential sites, meetings with ecosystem partners and industry leaders, curated networking opportunities, and follow-up support after the program.

Program content and meetings will be customized where possible to reflect the needs and expansion priorities of selected companies.

Who should apply

The program is designed for established life sciences companies located outside Los Angeles County that are actively assessing or preparing for expansion into the region. Applications will be assessed based on expansion readiness, alignment with the Los Angeles life sciences ecosystem, and the degree to which the program can meaningfully support the company’s plans.

Program costs and participant responsibilities

There is no program participation fee. LAEDC/WTCLA will provide the program, scheduled catering and local transportation associated with official program activities. Participants are responsible for travel to and from Los Angeles, hotel accommodation, passport/visa/entry requirements where applicable, meals and transportation outside the official itinerary, and other personal or incidental expenses.

Do not book non-refundable travel until participation has been formally confirmed. Participants are responsible for securing and complying with all applicable passport, visa and entry requirements. Selection does not guarantee that a visa or travel authorization will be issued.
