Metropolitan Water District: Recycled Water Supply Program

March 17, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Join the LAEDC’s Water Committee and the Metropolitan Water District for a lunch and presentation on the Recycled Water Supply Program.
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is exploring the potential of a water purification project to beneficially reuse water currently discharged to the Pacific Ocean for recharge of regional groundwater basins. Our speaker, John Bednarski, Metropolitan’s Water Supply Initiatives Section Manager, will be providing an overview of MWD’s proposed Regional Recycled Water Supply Program.
The focus of the Water Subgroup Committee is to promote initiatives to ensure a reliable supply of clean and affordable water by implementing a portfolio of environmentally-sound strategies including conservation, storm water capture, recycling and groundwater storage that protect Southern California water supplies.  Chair: Ed Casey, Partner at Alston & Bird LLP.
