City of Los Angeles Microenterprise Recovery Grant Program

The City of Los Angeles, Economic and Workforce Development Department (EWDD) will provide Microenterprise Recovery Grants to eligible microenterprises located in the city that need financial assistance to aid in their recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

A total of $8.5 million in funds will be awarded to microenterprises (5 employees or less, including the owners) in the City of Los Angeles that have been impacted by COVID-19. Grants of up to $15,000 will be awarded to eligible businesses, with priority to businesses that have not received assistance through any City, State or Federal program. Funds can be used for operating expenses, including but not limited to payroll, lease payments, insurance, and inventory.

Eligibility:

To be eligible, businesses must be for-profit, have five employees or less (including the business owners), and be located and operate within the City of Los Angeles. Funds can be used for operating expenses, including but not limited to payroll, lease payments, insurance, and inventory.

Program launched on March 25, and closed on April 15, 2022.
