Arthur Girard

Research Analyst, Institute for Applied Economics

Arthur Girard joined the Institute for Applied Economics at LAEDC in the summer of 2019 as an intern, and transitioned to a full-time role following the completion of his undergraduate studies. As a research analyst, he focuses on economic research, drafting and editing the Institute’s reports, and data collection and analysis. His projects include extensive work with the Center for a Competitive Workforce in a variety of sectors including Manufacturing, Construction and Information Communication Technology, an economic analysis on the employment effects of COVID-19 in Southern California and a study of the ocean economy in Los Angeles County. Mr. Girard graduated from the University of Southern California in May 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and the Global Economy and a minor in Applied Analytics. v
