Combining her desire for change across the globe and passion for financial management, Jennifer serves as the Managing Director of Align. Align is a venture championed by Abacus Wealth Partners. Align serves as an independent specialized impact advisor to high net worth families, individuals and families. In collaboration with advisors, Align aims to increase the effectiveness and alignment of philanthropic grants, impact investments, and mission related investments. Align’s portfolios aim to deliver the same risk/return profiles with globally diversified approaches, investing in companies that are more aligned with a client’s values while avoiding companies that are potentially harmful to the environment and society.

Jennifer joined Aspiriant in 2002 as an associate in Wealth Management eventually leading the charge as a Director in Wealth Management in the family office division and as a member of Aspiriant’s Board of Directors. In 2014, Jennifer left Aspiriant to launch Align.

Jennifer earned a BBA degree in Finance and BA in Economics from the Southern Methodist University and graduated Cum Laude. She finished her accounting certificate at the University of Los Angeles and holds her Series 65 license. She sits on the board of various private foundations, the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles chapter of Advisors in Philanthropy, the Advisory Board for Thrdplc (a social enterprise), and the advisory board of Investment News. Similarly, Jenn works closely with the following non –profits and social enterprises in the field: DOST (India), Wala (Uganda), Livelyhoods (Kenya), IkamvaYouth (South Africa), and Shine Centers (South Africa). Jenn is currently launching a female entrepreneurial program in Somoto, Nicaragua in April 2016 after feeding 250 children daily for the past three years. She has built strategic partnerships on the ground bringing the malnourishment rate down from 28% to 5%. Jennifer also serves as a mentor for inner city youth driving change on the ground with organizations such as Ambition and Step-Up.

Jennifer was named “40 under 40” for Investment News in 2014 and a finalist for “Rising Star for Family Wealth” report. Jennifer has been hand selected to attend Fortune’s “Most Powerful Women of the Next Generation” Summit in 2014 and Skoll World Forum. In March 2016, Jennifer curated and led an Impact Investing course for the University of Cape Town on site in Africa.

Jennifer is proud to bring her knowledge, passion for global change, and love of impact investing to Align. When not on a plane building a sustainable farm in Nicaragua or meeting with investors in Ethiopia, Jennifer is a lover of Soul Cycle, scuba diving, Dave Matthews Band and football.
