Thanks to the hard work and thoughtful input of the hundreds of participants this past year, the final draft is completed for the 2016-2020 L.A. County Strategic Plan for Economic Development. The full plan will be available and posted on the LAEDC website in January 2016 and printed copies will be available.
The plan is in essence a blueprint to foster creation of more well-paying jobs in the region, and at the same time prepare our residents to access those jobs. Implementation of the plan over this coming five years will contribute to increased standards of living for more residents, for more widely shared prosperity in our region.
The Strategic Plan has seven top-line goals, and each goal includes specific objectives and individual strategies that are actionable. The final document is in design now and will be published in the coming weeks.
Below are a few of the pictures of participants who provided input during the drafting process. Thanks to everyone who has helped. Our next collective regional effort will be to take action on the many items identified in the Strategic Plan. Work begins in January 2016.
