Through a collaborative partnership among the Orange County Business Council (OCBC)Orange County Workforce Investment BoardPacific Gateway Workforce Investment NetworkLong Beach City CollegeNorth Orange County Community College District, and the LAEDC, we will be continuing our work toward growing an alternative fuel and advanced transportation industry cluster in our region through the following activities: conducting research and analyzing trends, engaging in strategic planning, bringing together stakeholders, and implementing actions to attract, retain, and grow jobs in this region.  Orange County and Los Angeles County both already boast tremendous assets in this industry, so by joining forces, we are able to leverage each other’s expertise and assets to ensure both counties benefit to the fullest extent possible.

The LAEDC will be conducting joint research with OCBC that will help inform the strategic planning and implementation that the LAEDC e-Mobility Task Force (chaired by LAEDC members Michael Boehm of HB/Sustain and Jeff Joyner of Greenberg Traurig) and OCBC Green Task Force will be undertaking jointly.  If you’re interested in being a part of this effort, we would encourage you to get involved!  You can sign up to be a member by emailing Misha Houser at [email protected].  Or you can follow the group’s activities on the Cleantech Cluster page here and on the LinkedIn group here.
