SoCalGas And LADWP Now Offer Joint Energy-Efficiency Upgrades To Shared Customers

Southern California Gas Co. (SoCalGas) and Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) have teamed up to offer joint energy-efficiency programs with a total investment up to $440 million to their shared customers. The incentive programs for residential customers include Energy Upgrade California, which offers energy-efficient home improvements to homeowners, and California Advanced Homes, which provides incentives for building more efficient new homes. In addition, the incentive programs for business customers such as Retrocommissioning Express (RCx), which aims to help customers in qualifying commercial buildings to reduce their electricity and gas bills, are also provided by the two utilities. The collaboration between SoCalGas and LADWP is a great illustration of how public-private partnerships can benefit the community.
