Commercial and Industrial Designers participate in the design and development process of alternative fuel vehicles and other clean technologies. They are responsible for the general design of the vehicle and its main components, taking into consideration consumer preferences and the company’s capabilities for production. They render drawings and diagrams, utilizing computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) systems, to illustrate the requirements of electric vehicles including its function, quality, styling, and safety features.
