Our guest speaker is Mr. Barry Quarles, President and Research Director at MEG Research, Inc, presenting on the highly anticipated 2015 Business Climate Survey. The study details general health of businesses, expansion plans, the hiring environment, challenges and opportunities for area businesses, and the impact of pro-growth measures. It is segmented among 10 industry sector groups, five employee size cells, and the City of Los Angeles versus the County of Los Angeles. Over 70 in-depth questions were conducted with 1,000 C-level executives, business owners and other key decision-makers in Los Angeles County.  The last survey of this magnitude was conducted in 2007. Astounding data was gathered, and will be presented to the LAEDC Board on September 16. Government, education and corporations will benefit from this presentation.
Additionally, LAEDC’s Chief Economist, Dr. Robert Kleinhenz will give us a regional Economic and Industry Update and CEO Bill Allen will present the Presidents Report.
