Robert A. Kleinhenz, Ph.D. is the Chief Economist of the Kyser Center for Economic Research, which conducts research on the regional, state, and national economies.  Dr. Kleinhenz has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, a Master’s degree and a Doctorate from the University of Southern California, all in Economics. Prior to joining the LAEDC, he served as Deputy Chief Economist at the California Association of REALTORS® and taught economics for over 15 years, most recently at California State University, Fullerton.  Dr. Kleinhenz has spoken to local, state, and national audiences and is a frequent contributor to media coverage on the economy, including coverage in news outlets throughout California along with the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Bloomberg News, and NPR.

Thomas M. Priselac is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Cedars-Sinai Health System — a position he has held since January 1994.  Mr. Priselac has been associated with Cedars-Sinai since 1979.  Prior to being named President and CEO, he was Executive Vice President from 1988 to 1993.  Before joining Cedars-Sinai, he was on the executive staff of Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh.  Throughout his career, he has been a leader in the development of strategic and operational innovations to foster high quality, safe and efficient healthcare as well as being actively involved in healthcare delivery and finance policy development. He is a past Chair of the American Hospital Association Board of Trustees and a past Chair of the Association of American Medical Colleges.  He also formerly chaired the California Healthcare Association, the Association of American Medical Colleges Council of Teaching Hospitals and the Hospital Association of Southern California.

Mr. Priselac is an author and invited speaker on a variety of contemporary issues facing the health care field including leadership and policy issues related to the delivery and financing of health care, health care quality and safety and the adoption and implementation of information technology. He is the holder of the Warschaw/Law endowed Chair in Healthcare Leadership at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The Cedars-Sinai Health System is among the nation’s leading providers of health care services, medical education and research.  A native of Pennsylvania, Mr. Priselac obtained a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Washington and Jefferson College in Pennsylvania, and a master’s in Public Health, Health Services Administration and Planning, from the University of Pittsburgh.

Tad Rivelle is TCW’s Chief Investment Officer, Fixed Income, overseeing $85 Billion in fixed income assets, including nearly $50 Billion of mutual fund assets under the TCW Funds and MetWest Funds brands. Prior to joining TCW, Tad served as Chief Investment Officer for MetWest, an independent institutional investment manager which he cofounded. Tad heads a fixed income team that has been nominated for Morningstar’s Fixed Income Manager of the Year seven times over a 12-year period and won the award in 2005. Mr. Rivelle was also the co-director of fixed income at Hotchkis and Wiley and a portfolio manager and vice president at PIMCO. Tad holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Yale University, a master’s degree in applied mathematics from University of Southern California, and an MBA from UCLA
